| About Teresa
My passions have always revolved around working with and refining the human body through movement. I left my hometown of Boulder, Colorado at a young age in order to pursue my dreams as a dancer. I attended Interlochen Arts Academy, and trained and performed with such notable companies as Pennsylvania Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet (NYC). I’m proud to say that the strict commitment and discipline required for a professional career in ballet has made me what I am today. After years of being underweight, over-trained, and highly stressed in the dance world, I simply wanted to be healthy and strong. Re-evaluating my future goals I chose to head back to the mountains.

In 1992, I moved to Salt Lake City and immersed myself in all the sports activities that I had previously been on contract “NOT” to do. Over the following 5 years, I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, trained as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), travel to places as far as Eastern Europe, trekked the Himalayas, and went crazy with the great outdoors. I became involved in competitive mountain biking and the triathlon scene. I spent winters bouncing between snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding. All of this became second nature to me.
My background in dance and my experiences on the track and trail led me to pursue my certification as a personal trainer and sports coach. In 1997, I moved to San Francisco and became involved with FIT (Focus on Individual Training), an elite personal training facility. Under FIT, I launched TAV Lifestyle and had the good fortune to work with a diverse range of clients and alongside highly experienced coaches. I quickly established myself among the top levels of the health and fitness industry.
Since relocating to Silver Lake/Los Angeles in 2004, I have hit the ground sprinting! I created the Fusion Program because of my love of the great outdoors and as an alternative to the stifling gym scene. Beyond the physical health benefits are the mental health benefits. After long hours at your desk or in your car, it’s refreshing to get outdoors and take a breath. Life is about enjoying the “process”… fitness included!
